Newcastle

Yes I shall now commit what some would call Heresy and dare to critique .. Newcastle Brown Ale.

A brown ale is a deceptively simple style of beer. simply put it is an ale (which is a beer made at approximately room temp with a top fermenting yeast) made with a dark brown malt.

Newcastle is a classic icon of the type. it has a full body that is not over bearing and a nice nutty aftertaste. IT is however a beer you don't want to leave long because it is bottled in clear glass. Beer is typically in brown glass due to being photo reactive, meaning light can alter the flavor. I have never had a problem with Brownies souring as they just don't last that long.

Cap Scores are easy
9.5 for type, 10 for drinkability (never found a beer drinker who didn't like it) and 8 for value (they do tend to run a bit on the higher end of the price scale) totaling out to a 9.16. likley as close to a perfect score as I am wont to give.
