Broken Halo IPA

Today I am trying Broken Halo IPA by Widmer Brothers Brewing Company in Portland Oregon.

Broken Halo delivers a good hops bite followed by an oak overtone complex flavor to the malt. It's color is a clean amber with a consistent rim of foam all the way through the glass. It is definitely a "West Coast IPA" though IPA's in general have the bite this has the American West Coast tendency to really push up the over all flavor of the hops as well as the bitter.

I give it 8 caps in type, 7 caps in drinkability and a 7 in value. Over all it gets a score of 7.33 caps. It is an above average IPA and one I will consider when in the mood for a bitter.
